Welcome to Golden Sands 2213!

Thanks for booking your vacation with us! Here’s where you’ll find all the information you need to prepare for your stay, from check-in and check-out info to parking, house rules, helpful tips, and more.  We can’t wait for your stay!

Checking In

When you arrive, park in your assigned spot (see below) and head in to the front desk in the building lobby. There, you’ll fill out a registration form, receive a parking pass, and pay the mandatory $50 registration fee directly to the building. Once you’ve done that, you can go straight up to the unit! Take the elevator to the 22nd floor, and turn right at the end of the elevator lobby. Unit 2213 is the first unit past the pool. You’ve received a unique key code by email that will be good for the duration of your stay (if you’re reading this and haven’t received your key code, please contact us!). Please don’t share your code with anyone not in your party!

Parking

This unit comes with one on-site parking spot. Your assigned parking spot is #94, just inside the entrance to the garage. Please park only in that spot. If you need additional parking, there may be some available through the building’s front desk for an additional fee, but it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also additional paid parking provided by the city nearby.

Note: Assigned parking is enforced in-season – from the week before Memorial Day through the week after Labor Day. If your reservation is in the off-season, parking is considered ‘open’ and you may park anywhere.

Linens and Towels

All rentals include the delivery of sanitized linens and towels to the unit prior to your arrival. This includes fitted and flat sheets, pillowcases, bath and hand towels, and washcloths. Blankets and pillows for the beds are provided in the unit (you are more than welcome to bring your own if you prefer!) Upon checkout, please strip the beds, return the blankets and pillows to the closets, and place all sheets and towels in the provided bag for cleaning.

Please remember that as this unit is a self-catering unit, we do not supply paper goods or cleaning supplies; while we do provide a ‘starter kit’ of a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom to get you through your first day, you’ll need to plan to bring your own or buy them locally when you arrive.

House Rules

Some important things to know while you’re staying with us:

Our unit is on the top floor of a concrete building, with all-glass walls facing the sun. This means that we have an incredible view but also that the unit can get very hot during the peak of summer. To help the HVAC unit keep up, we ask that you keep the drapes closed during the hottest part of the day, and leave all doors and windows closed while the air conditioning is running. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the living room that will help moderate the temperature as well. Please use the cords to open and close the drapes rather than pulling on them, which will break them!

Please do not move any of our bedroom furniture; the floors in the bedrooms are new and we’d like to keep them in great shape!

Our unit’s water heater is brand new! Please note that all Golden Sands unit water heaters are only 30 gallons, due to the design of the building. We have found that we can get a couple of showers out of it, but it may need some time to refill and reheat after that. This usually takes about an hour or two.

The trash chute is across the hall and to your left when coming out of the unit; it is your responsibility to remove all trash from the unit. The building does not offer recycling services; if you want to separate your recycling, there are drop-off bins available at the Food Lion nearby.

Please keep the door locked when not in residence.

The primary named renter on the reservation must be present for the duration of your stay; you will need to provide ID at the front desk when you check in.

Building Amenities

Access to the Golden Sands’ resort amenities is included in your stay. The building’s outdoor amenities, such as the outdoor pool, tiki bar, and shops, are generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please note that the schedule for all building amenities is dictated by the building, and we have no control over them.

The building’s indoor amenities, such as the indoor pool, gym, sauna, and game room, are open year round. (PLEASE NOTE: the indoor pool will be closed for annual maintenance from March 6-31, 2023.) Access is controlled by electronic door lock, and the codes are changed monthly on the first Monday. Please find the month of your reservation on the list below for the code you’ll use to access the 22nd floor amenities.
